In a world where we are surrounded by stimuli, we often close off our senses. In Blind Spot – Eindhoven, choreographer Jelena Kostić makes visible and tangible what is right in front of us. In a theatrical walk full of contrasts, the urban environment, dance and freerunning come together to open our eyes to new perspectives.

With headphones on, the audience is led on an immersive walking tour through industrial Strijp-S and Strijp-T, ending at the UFO-like Evoluon. In various choreographies, Jelena plays with our ideas and expectations of space and our surroundings.

Blind Spot Eindhoven runs from April 25th to May 5th.

Reopening of the RetroFuture Exhibition in Eindhoven's Spaceship After Unexpected Closure

Eindhoven, September 4, 2023 - Spaceship Evoluon is pleased to announce that the museum section will reopen to the public on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, after a temporary closure. The closure was necessary due to a detached ceiling section inside the dome. After careful inspection and renovation work, we are delighted to report that the museum is now safely and beautifully restored, and the RetroFuture exhibition is once again accessible to visitors.

Starting from September 24, 2023, the exhibition Spacefarming: the future of food will be on display. This second expo about the future at the Evoluon, created by Next Nature, focuses on a food revolution.

Koert van Mensvoort, director of Next Nature, says, "We are at the beginning stage of a new food revolution. The ideas we present here are just the tip of the innovation iceberg. It gives me confidence that the world will be able to feed 10 billion people by 2050."

FUTURE FOOD ON EARTH

With the food of the future, humanity will be able to feed more than 10 billion people by 2050 with minimal harm to our planet. This is achievable if we now take an original and efficient approach to our food and its production.

EINDHOVEN - The original plans to realize expensive rental apartments and a hotel have been shelved. Instead, the Eindhoven city council has decided that affordable housing must be built. The City Council passed this decision by a large majority.
